Rental Terms and Conditions

All rentals are subject to the General Car Rental Terms and Conditions of Bovag. These can be found on the reverse side of our rental agreements.

What do you need to bring when picking up the rental car?

Valid driver’s license.
Address identification (recent piece of mail).
Debit card or credit card for the deposit payment.
For businesses, we require a Chamber of Commerce extract (no older than 1 year).
For trucks: Category C driver’s license (Truck) & driver card.

Reservations This can be done by phone or email. We will do our utmost to provide the car type you have reserved but reserve the right to provide an equivalent car. If the reservation is canceled, no costs will be incurred.

Renter / driver The renter/driver of the car must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year.

Insurance All our vehicles include comprehensive insurance, passenger insurance, and ANWB domestic coverage. In the event of alcohol and/or drug use, you are fully liable for all damages (exclusion of all insurances).

Abroad Only countries within the EU are allowed, and you are required to inform us in advance so that we can provide you with the original documents and arrange an ANWB travel insurance for you.

If you do not inform us that you are traveling abroad with the rental vehicle, and we are therefore unable to adjust our insurance and ANWB coverage, you are not entitled to a replacement vehicle, and all costs arising from any repatriation of the vehicle to the Netherlands will be at your own expense.

Reduction of deductible Conditions for reducing the deductible: At least 24 years old and in possession of a valid Dutch driver’s license for 1 year. You have a deductible for any non-recoverable damage, depending on the insurance class. The deductible can be reduced:

Class A € 400,- reduced to € 150,- for € 7.50 per day
Class B € 600,- reduced to € 200,- for € 11.00 per day
Class C € 900,- reduced to € 350,- for € 15.00 per day
Class D € 1000,- reduced to € 400,- for € 18.00 per day

The above prices are exclusive of VAT (21%).

Rental period A rental day with us is a calendar day and runs from 08:00 am to 08:00 am the following morning. Different times can always be discussed with one of our staff and will be adjusted if possible.

Extension of the rental period If you wish to extend the rental, you must always contact us by phone. There is no need to visit our location for the extension.
